The retreat decided to switch wifis during midterms week without providing compensation or a wifi substitute, let a retreat main area Fike Fire Alarm System emit a very high pitched and loud sound due to needing "SUPERVISORY INPUT" for 13+ hours, let another tennant's fire alarm go off for over 4 hours and routinely can not be reached outside of business hours regardless of situations present.
I applied with the expectation of the sample room they showed me and similar for many others; however, the experience was horrible. Upon entering just my room, the carpet was heavily stained (several large black and red stains ~5 inches), the bed was broken and dirty, there was rusting metal in the bathroom and what seemed like blood in the bathroom, an earring was left behind, and the environment was extremely dusty and filthy. During my search for housing, the retreat has been really helpful. The whole process has been easy and clear. I have been talking to Luis from the management office and he has been very helpful in figuring out how it’s all gonna work out. On top of that the area is really clean and nice. I had a chance to get a tour from Ella and she was able to give me a residents perspective which was really helpful.
Maybe they (management and maintenance) have changed since my son lived there (2017), but this incident still irks me and hopefully no future tenants are treated this way. My son and his three friends rented a 4-bedroom apartment - it was very nice with each bedroom having their own FOB key entry. One of his roommates had a fan that needed to be fixed, and the maintenance person had a FOB to access all rooms. I used to love living here, however, the new management has shown that they view their tenants as cash cows, not people. They don't care about your quality of life and drag their feet in resolving issues. I absolutely would not recommend living here as a student; Consistent WiFi issues. The new provider was supposed to be better but is somehow far worse and, since it is a third party - WiFi issues are no longer their problem to solve and they won't help you.
