The retreat has no shame taking advantage of students with limited options of where to live. I lived there for one year and that was more than enough. We would submit maintenance requests for things like the hot water being out or the dryer breaking and they would regularly be dismissed or marked as resolved without maintenance ever coming by. Not a great place, for how much they charge you would expect them to be more on top of the maintenance. We had our AC not work for the entire year and now that we are moving out they finally decided to fix it.

The only good thing about living at The Retreat was the location and amenities, when they were actually maintained. But nearly every interaction I had with management was frustrating, unprofessional, or legally questionable. During my lease, I went through a takeover process that was completely mishandled.
