I rarely write reviews, especially for apartment complexes, but I feel like future renters deserve a heads-up. This place is old and massively overbuilt—too many units for management to maintain properly. The AC units are a nightmare: rusted, shaking, condenser coils visibly deteriorated and crusted from years of dog piss (equals insane electric bills). There are multiple dumpsters filled with trash either in the dumpsters or near it. We look like Calcutta on a good day. Appliances are old most are Kenmore lol. And Kenmore/Sears is dead. They merely paint over rust or ignore the issue or the maintenance manager comes and informs you if the 26 year old oven days 350 the temp I. The oven is 350. It’s a computer. Nice apartments, conveniently located within walking distance of Fairfax Corner and Wegmans. Our apartment was in the back of the complex, so we had a beautiful view of the woods. Lots of great trails in the woods nearby. The apartment gym and the pool are decent, nothing special. Management was sometimes a pain to deal with. The leasing office is frequently closed, so contacting them isn’t the most convenient. Overall though, I had a nice time living here!
Transferred to Fairfax from a sister property in DC due to the work. The team made the lease transfer easy and affordable. I have been here for 2 months and so far having a lovely experience. The community is friendly, supportive, and safe. Maintenance is super accessible, usually resolves any issues within 24 hours.
