The Republic offers a stylish rooftop atmosphere with great city views, craft cocktails, and a lively crowd. The food is solid, service friendly, and it’s a perfect spot for nights out, celebrations, or casual drinks downtown. Energetic vibe makes it one of the city’s standout social destinations. This is a nice place. Summer is the best, high up on the 6th floor, open air. We especially loved the atmosphere and view of downtown Des Moines. The staff was very friendly, worked well as a team. Plenty of street parking. Menu is limited, but what they did offer was excellent. We had the Graziano flatbread and blackened salmon (see pics). Absolutely worth the visit.
