I had the most wonderful experience yesterday when I had my cataract surgery with Dr. Lawrence Sperber. I know that may sound funny, but it’s true! From the moment I met Dr. Sperber and his wonderful staff, it was clear that I was in very good hands. I felt heard, respected, and cared for every step of the way. The procedure went smoothly and, once again, I was treated with kindness, respect, and sensitivity, especially since I was feeling a bit nervous. My experiences were exactly the same as everyone else listed.. A very uncaring doctor and even more uncaring staff. This is more than uncaring. This is a toxic dysfunctional office. My experience were so awful with this doctor and this staff that I cannot even bring myself to write about it. It was that bad. But I will submit a formal complaint about them. They are unethical.

Dilated my pupils shortly after I arrived at 10 am and then sat in a waiting area for one hour. I told the staff I needed to leave for another appointment at 11 am. Shown into an exam room and no one came. Walked out at 11 am so I could be. on time for my next appointment. NYU is usually so great about being on time and respecting other people's time. Not Dr. Sperber. I did check when I made the appointment on how long I should block and was told one hour is safe.
