We wish to relate our situation of September 10, 2026 at the Red Garter Inn We arrived but had gotten no code to get into the front door. We had to search online with poor internet connection to find a number We were able to access our room, but upon arrival the room smelled awful. Other rooms on the floor did not smell this way. They told us that no deodorizers were used in the rooms. We called to register our problem. They sent a maintenance person to investigate the odor. They did indeed find a deodorizer in the room. Loved our stay here during our Route 66 trip. It was so quiet. Everything was great and the little downtown area directly behind the inn is so charming! Would definitely stay again if ever in the area.
What a great experience! The hotel has four cute rooms upstairs, each full of original character. We stayed in Room 2 and found it to be extremely clean, and well appointed. The ceiling height seemed to be 12-13ft, wow!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
