I cannot say enough about the transformative experience at The Ravines Retreat Center. It is truly a place where deep healing happens, not just on an individual level, but for relationships as well. The setting is peaceful and supportive, allowing space to confront and heal the most difficult parts of our hearts and minds. We weren’t in a dark place, more like the marital doldrums, but it wasn’t a good place and we knew it. We needed something, we just didn’t know what. Think of the Ravines as an all purpose garage for the family car. Need a tuneup like we did? New transmission? Or maybe just a little detailing to give it that honeymoon feel. The Ravines can do that for you. We feel blessed to have found them, and by doing so, we found each other.
Huge waste of time and money. Did much more harm than good. Everything the office told us about the program turned out to be untrue. We never had a chance to try to work out issues. Zero. One hour given to personal past (mostly his). Half hour spent on talking about our wedding. One whole day spent reviewing the basics of Christianity (think children's Sunday School level). The rest was spent with the "therapist" monologing about herself and her person theories (based on her childless marriage in which they work in different... read more
