I came from out of state visiting Kansas City, MO for the first time to celebrate my anniversary with my partner and I had the most amazing stay at the Raphael Hotel. The service from Yolanda over the phones was excellent giving by me options and times for when our premium suite would be available. Ari provided us with a seamless check in and spoke about all the hotel amenities and times of operation, and even made our night special by providing a moment of wonderful moment of kindness. I’m six months slow with my rave review for Amy, Ari, and Patrick (Gen Mgr) for making my birthday (last October) exceptional. The warm wishes upon my arrival, the surprise champagne that was discretely slipped into our suite, delicious chocolates with a hand written card - made me feel truly celebrated! Thank you for making the 24 hours we could pause from dealing with a major crisis - the peaceful and romantic getaway we needed!
Really unpleasant stay. The price was that of much more expensive full-service hotels, but the amenities were crap. Super-thin and rough toilet paper, thin and flat pillows from possibly decades ago, heat didn't turn on, hot water didn't turn on beyond mildly warm. I slept SO horribly from the flat pillows/neck strain. Do not stay here!!
