Went to find some cute little things for my new apt and found so many options. Jennifer helped me and I felt like I was talking to an old friend. The vibe was immaculate, the options were stellar and I can’t wait to come back.
Don’t even bother spending your money and time here. The owner (or owners not sure how many are running the place), are rude and racist. I tried buying laundry detergent that I needed and the owner said “I can’t sell you this” and when I tried asking why she didn’t reply. However, this is where I got mad, as in, UPSET, she sold it to ANOTHER customer who was not Hispanic and I was just, flabbergasted. DO NOT GO IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO ENCOUNTER RACISM. Earlier this morning I went to get some food donations and the guy handing out the bread was completely rude and was yelling at me and a few other people in line. The “owner”, an older lady was extremely racist towards the black and Hispanic people that went to the store, and then she was hoarding most of the food donations. My experience volunteering here was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. The cashier Patricia Smokes, the owner, and another woman with a darkened sauna tan were openly rude, dismissive, and spoke to people in a way that felt degrading and prejudiced. The tone was condescending, as if they looked down on others and expected blind obedience rather than basic human respect. What stood out most was the hypocrisy.
