The beets and grilled broccoli are amazing, almost make me think I could give up meat - almost!
We found the extensive wine list overwhelming. I finally asked the waiter for a house wine. The menu was very meat oriented toward more unusual meats. My husband loves meat but didn't find much he wanted to try on the menu. The strawberry rhubarb soft serve was very sour and I am a rhubarb lover. The positive was the service was excellent. Staff made recommendations but this doesn’t seem to be a restaurant for us.
Great food and service!! Try the octopus a la plancha... you won’t regret it

Adorable restaurant in a tucked away location. You could easily walk by it! Had a great Broccoli with roasted garlic and a vinaigrette dressing and Calamari with fregola, radishes, cucumbers & pistachios! Have tried to eat here multiple time. Came early and was able to eat outside. It is noisy; if you are looking for a quiet place, this isn’t it!
Always my favourite! I live 5 mins away and this is my go to place for any special occasion. No guests leave Chicago without visiting the purple pig! One of the most amazing places. I would like them to widen their wine and cocktail menu though to include a few more classics. But still, no complaints at all!
Always amazing, with our Daughters visiting from California last night! More than 5 Stars! I always get Milk Braised Pork Shoulder, best thing I ever ate! All side dishes and entrees we ordered were off the chain! Jimmy Bannos Jr. and his Staff always at the top of their game!
The baked beet dishs was delicious!!!
