We stayed last night having only booked a couple of days before. What made us choose this hotel, is that you can actually ring them and actually talk to someone - a rare thing in todays world! This is our first stay but won't be our last! We arrived a little early but this wasn't a problem. There is free private parking on site. Our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean - it had everything we could have wanted/needed. There was a varied choice of food available - all cooked to order. The cooked breakfast was excell... read more
We had booked to stay here on Halloween night very last minute! (Booked at 5:30pm) we got there at around 7ish and was greeted very warmly by a few members of staff. The lady at the reception was so kind and chatty! We came downstairs in our Halloween costumes and she told us how great we all looked and wished us a good night out. She also let us know how to get back in as she will be locking up after we left. In the morning it was the same lady, she had asked how the night went and was so bubbly and lovely. Thank you so muc... read more
Amazing 90 minute bottomless brunch. The food was delicious, great quality, beautifully cooked and presented. Great selection of cocktails. £38 was good value for the level of quality and service. We were looked after by Katie who was brilliant - attentive, friendly and helpful. I hadn't visited the Psalter since it was taken over a couple of years ago. I'd really recommend it for bottomless brunch or food, especially the small plates.
Spent two nights here. My room was not the biggest and the bathroom was a little tight. Breakfast was ok, but would have preferred bacon with the full English rather than the fatty loin that was served. There are a number of stairs in the property, which didn’t bother me, but might be an issue to some people as I wasn’t aware of a lift. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The road outside the hotel was fairly busy, but it wasn’t an issue.
We stayed at the hotel for 1 night in a suite and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Parking at the rear was one of the reasons we chose the hotel as well. The receptionist (cannot remember his name) was welcoming and pleasant and helpful for the entire stay and made us feel welcome from the start. The room was very nice and had everything we needed. The room was quiet and had a good sleep. The breakfast was lovely and nice relaxed area to eat in. If staying in Sheffield again will definitely choose the Psalter.
