Living at The Preserve at Gateway Apartments has been, without question, one of the most frustrating—and honestly laughable—rental experiences I’ve ever had. I honestly should have listened to the reviews before moving into Preserve at Gateway… the 2.0 rating is there for a reason. This place looks nice at first, but living here has been a completely different story. Management is beyond frustrating—good luck getting a straight answer or any real help when something goes wrong. Once you sign that lease, it feels like you no longer matter to Makenzie I believe the managers name is. And let’s talk about safety, because that’s a huge concern. Cons of property are limited lighting in the parking lots. Damages to your vehicle is easy because it's so dark. If you don't park directly under a pole beware. Also I came home for the day to find my motorcycle pushed over on its side. I can only think it's a disgruntled tenant mad that it has its own spot. Word of advice for the person, "Don't get caught we have cameras on our other cars" 🤯 We have lived here since April and it has been great!!! Kevin who works in maintenance and is by far the best. I have lived here 4 years and there has been nobody better. He shows up the same day or the next morning everytime I submit a request. :)
I moved into this community, September of 2021. The location - smaller by typical complex standards - but with large units, 2 pools, a gym and bucolic boardwalk over the designated preserve & lake - are what 1st attracted me to reside here. At the time of my move-in, there were some issues with the then management which the parent company remedied - by bringing in a wonderful business woman, Makenzie, who is a true professional!
