Last night was my first time at The Pour House. I was there to see my friend Barefoot Wade perform. Was pleasantly surprised at all the other performances as well. Great vibes, great people, and great beers. I'm definitely a regular now!

As an out-of-town visitor, I loved the friendly vibe at this raw brick box of a music venue. Though the space is bright, the sound was decent. The space is unpretentious, the hip local crowd is friendly and the bar is accessible. There are a host of interesting restaurants and bars in the blocks nearby. The totally open set-up probably works well most times, but when I was there a huge influx of out-of-place-looking business men who were more interested in drinking and talking loudly than listening. Great staff, great music, great scenery! Definitely a place to visit if you're in Raleigh.
