Great vibes! Unpretentious while still having an awesome selection. Haven’t tried the food, but the menu looks really interesting.
I popped in here for the first time several months ago for lunch and a glass of wine, and ended up having what could arguably be one of the best Italian cold cut sandwiches I’ve had in my life. Seriously, I wake up dreaming about that sandwich sometimes it’s so good. The pepper spread pulls it all together. My partner really enjoys the Cascadia Dip. This is our go to local wine bar. Great selection. Good prices (most are average retail price and there's corkage for opening a bottle on site. I think they waive corkage on bottles over $45 at the time I'm writing this. The food is good, I just wish they had more (intersting) veg options.
We dine here regularly after having had it recommended to us by neighbors. The Bottle Shop has a delicious gluten free bread for their lovely sandwiches & their french fries are some of the best in Portland. We love the Clara C bubbly that does not give headaches (a miracle in itself.) The Cesar salad (no croutons for gf) is great, too.
