My husband wanted the King cut Prime Rib. This is his go to item, for some reason according to the waitress on Friday night they don't serve Prime Rib. Now we have gotten this in the past on Friday. Feel like we were lied to. He got the full rack of ribs they were overly sticky and sweet, he only ate one rib. Waitress did not acknowledge this and inquire just had another worker being a stack of boxes for the table. Menu should say no Prime Rib on Friday. Whole experience was soured by this. Eat there often. Not as in love with this year's menu, as I had been in the past. They down sized it quite a bit, but, nearly everyone can find something they would like. Food always prepared decently, they have very good chefs.
Friendly staff and excellent food. My fav is the whitefish but had the broiled seafood platter last night and enjoyed every bite. Been enjoying the Portage for over 25 years 👍

I was with my family and WE HAD A VERY RUDE BLONDE WAITRESS who was in her 20s or early 30s who had charged me 3 times the cost of what I had ordered.. And when I had brought it to her attention, she had made no attempts whatsoever of fixing her mistakes and she was only very rude about it..
