HORRIBLE experience with the Urology department here. They had some pipe issues in their cap hill location so I was referred to northgate for my appointment. I arrived at 11:45. They took me back to a room at 12. The intake nurse did not take my complete history of my situation, but I figured I could correct it with the doc. She tells me to take off my pants and wait for the doc. I wait. The room is not swept. I wait for 30 minutes. I go out to the nurses’ area to ask what’s happening and no one is there. Polyclinic doctors don’t care about you only charging your insurance. I’ve struggled multiple times getting a prescription refilled and the office couldn’t care less

Admin decisions and protocols are awful since Optum took over. I scheduled my mammogram months ahead and in the weeks leading up to the appointment, I got text notifications reminding me of my appointment. Pretty standard. When I showed up at Optum Northgate for my appointment they told me that my appointment had been cancelled and that they called weeks ago to let me know. I’ve been going to the Polyclinic for over 20 years and Since Optum took it over, it’s a sad state of affairs. They have a third-party billing service who can’t help you they just want you to pay your bill. They want you to pay right away but when you have a question I’ll get back to you maybe in 24-48 hours. I was told if you post something on my chart the billing people Don’t access those notes and don’t answer the questions from My Chart. I guess the search is on for a new doctor. I had a very frustrating experience with customer service at the Northgate Polyclinic. Despite being appointed a primary doctor there through Molina, when I attempted to schedule a new patient appointment, the front desk staff was unhelpful and dismissive. I was told, 'we don't accept new patients that have Molina, they don't update their system.' It's incredibly unhelpful when a doctor's office refuses to assist a new patient in this manner.
