I saw Dr Carter. He attempted to have me sign an unconscionable adhesion contract for pain medication which isgrossly unfair and unabashedly takes advantage of a weaker party...the patient. Instead, I chose to live with untreated chronic pain rather than to be required to give up my autonomy. Prior to being without adequate pain medication, my pain was not the 24 hour companion that it is today. Apparently Dr Carter prefers that his patients suffer. Went there once before the pandemic hit the staff was professional but I didn't get a physical prescription instead it was sent to a pharmacy near them and it took a week to come and the pharmacy was across town and didn't want to travel out of the way to get it. Never picked it up because It too far to travel.

Had my first visit with Dr. Gutierrez Rivas today and felt very listened to! The whole office was friendly and helpful.

Dr. Maria Gutierrez-Rivas was very nice, but the positive experience ends there. I specifically went in for a long-term swollen tonsil and soft lumps in my back, which have been growing for a year and causing extreme pain. First she wasted my time on an xray "to rule out bone fragments" despite the palpable lumps being soft and growing in nature (clearly not bone!) Next I had to take time off work for an ultrasound appt, which ended up costing me $125 between lost wages and co-pay. The ultra sound tech told me it wouldn't be... read more
