The roots of our pizza making go back to the early 1950's in Brooklyn where my uncle Steve opened his first pizzaria on Brooklyn Ave and growing up in my fathers pizzaria on Long Island we learned the fine art of making NY pizza. We opened our business in 1986 in downtown Rochester have been here ever since. We moved to a larger location just 30 feet away in 2015. went today,had a slice with mushrooms and one slice of white. it was great. and i know pizza i have been in the biz for 30 years. state st is open go get a slice or a full pie. it would be a shame if we lose this place
Best pizza in Rochester, family run and owned, always had great customer service and kindness from them. Don't believe the nonsense you see written online about the mgmt. Super jealous of anyone who gets the chance to regularly eat their pizza.
How do you fail a pizza business during a pandemic? One that so many claim is “the best”. Your peers are literally thriving. Many are actually hiring! You had a public tantrum and have a history of talking to your customers like crap. You were willing to risk people’s health and safety over two weeks. Owner threw a social media hissy fit to get into the paper then removed all posts. Pizza is ok, nothing special. Owner is an embarrassment.
Inconsiderate owners. Better pizza/service elsewhere.
One of the best pizzas in Rochester, hands down. I only have one I slightly like more.
Pizza is consistently great whether I order a pie to go or just stop in for a slice. One of the few places that understands how to cook a well done pizza.
The only real NY style pizza around.
