RecommendedSome of the best barbecue I've had. I had the brisket and smoked meat loaf and both were excellent. The Brunswick stew side was very good too. The basket of Hushpuppies to start almost filled me up enough to ruin my dinner. Be careful!
The service was poor. They were clearly understaffed for wait staff. Bus staff was excellent and attentive. Ribs were extremely undercooked and wait staff was so inattentive that we just took them home and cooked them some more rather than spend another 30 mins waiting to get her attention. Told us they ran out of hamburger meat so no burgers. Brisket was tasty and the smoked brisket meatloaf was truly special. I might do take out for the meatloaf but that’s about it.
I love the Pit!!! My favorite thing to eat are the deviled eggs......they have been great each time I’ve had them. I also had the chicken tenders which were also great. Keep up the good work 😉

The food was all good, but the $9 double IPA draft was served in a glass barely larger than a shot glass.
My wife and I made reservations for 2:00 Sunday, July 1. We got there a few minutes early and were shown to our table. The waiter was there in less than 5 minutes, went over the menu and took our drink orders. He also made a couple of menu recommendations, as this was our first visit to the Durham location. Good staff & atmosphere. Not the best BBQ I’ve ever had but still a good product.
We had lunch there yesterday. Service was good but the pulled pork was so dry I could only eat a small portion of it. The brisket was good and so were the collards. I’m not in a huge hurry to go there again.
