Full disclosure...my son works here. My wife and I visited for the first time for lunch today. We have been hearing about the amazing creations for a couple of months. Our lunch did not disappoint. We had catfish sliders and pork belly torts. Both were excellent. The jalapeño slaw on the sliders was perfect...not too spicy, but just breath of heat that lingers after you swallow. Food was so good! Special thanks to the chef for slightly changing my dish so I could eat it. And the servers were awesome about drink advice :)
This is an amazing place! It's a little hard to find (why didn't someone just say "Where the old Rancho Grande was in the '70s"?). It's VERY low key. BIG beer selection, and the menu was, at first, not an eye popper - it didn't have the alehouse fare you'd expect. But, we took a chance on the Poutine Americana and Pulled Pork Quesadilla, with a side of Crunchy Asparagus. OMG - the quality, taste and attention to detail are sublime. This is NOT pub fare - this is original, gourmet stuff. We will be back!
