I wish i could Write no stars. My father has been living here for about 6 months now, This place is absolutely horrendous!! Meals are undercooked, The patients/ residents who live here look malnourised and they stink a god awful smell!! I will be taking my dad out of this place very soon. If you are looking for a place for mom or dad or gramma or grampa do NOT take them to this place! it is a litteral hell!!
I left a review previously, praises for Ryan, one of the servers here at the Harrisonburg campus where my dad currently lives. After just learning from my dad that English Meadows got rid of him, I feel I need to leave another review. Visiting with my Dad, I never saw another server there take care of my dad like Ryan did. These new servers don't do it and frankly, my dad isn't pleased. Might end up moving him out honestly. Alysa doesn't take care of him either. Get better staff in the dining room. Recently we joined our father for dinner. Our father was also considered one of those grump old men. He never really smiled after being injured from fighting for our country, so we were hesitant on moving him to English Meadows but felt it was the best assisted living facility for him. All of the staff is exceptionally friendly and so caring. We joined our father for dinner and the food was exceptional, even our father said so. Today my father who is a resident here wanted to eat lunch with family and friends. The Food Service Director, Chris, set it all up for us in a Private Dining Room. He served us a delicious baked chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli meal. Ryan served us throughout the meal and was very attentive. We appreciate them so much! My father is very happy and safe here. Peace of mind for me. Thanks so much!
