Hit or miss on the food and the service. The management is extremely poor and have given license to the staff to verbally abuse their customers with zero fear of consequences. I had the single worst restaurant dining experience of my life on seven continents there and it’s been 100% endorsed by the management. gross they gave me food half cooked and frozen.it took place a couple of times.got steak with mostly bone and little meat.had to send it back a couple of times. for 3 separate visits until could get a full portion.the hostess/waitress rude to female customers.not volunteer to wait on,talk back rude,interrupt them, walk away while talking to them.and females have to ask them to come back and finish the job. waitress throw bill at females.get angry not a tip. not want to write order and correct wrong order.they did both of the... read more
Old School Steak House This is a Raleigh landmark. It's one of the few places where you get to see the beef before it's cooked and you get to chose how big you want it. The service is great. The salad bar is small but really did you come here for the salad?

I expected more...... – After years of hearing wonderful reports on Peddler's Steakhousef, and with the kids out house for the night, my husband and I headed there for dinner. The decor is very outdated. The carpet is worn and in desperate need of replacing. The chairrails are dinged and chipped. As for the food, the steak was very good. I had the primerib and my husband had a custom-cut ribeye. Great Dinner – We had a great experience here. Loved the classic steakhouse look and received excellent service. The steaks were perfectly done and seasoned just right.Definatly not a chain restaurant experience. Prices were appropriate and the portions were perfect for us. We felt that the place was clean and well maintained as well which is what I usually look at first. I definately reccomend this to anyone looking for a quiet, inviting, and pleasant dinning out experience.
Steak is good but – "Yes" i have to say steak was very good but place maybe needs make over or at least change the carpet. This place is not for romantic evening or a date, but for couple of friends to have good steak and beer... why not.
Average, just average – For years I've heard nothing but good things about this restaurant, so I finally drove about an hour to try it. While waiting at the bar, I ordered the Pineapple Upside Down Martini which was wonderful. Once seated, I ordered the Petite Filet & my husband ordered the NY Strip.
