Don't live here, but visited my friends that do and it's a really cool place. Love the layouts in the apartments (and the walls actually?). They also have really cool monthly community events - things like a charcuterie night, book swap painting night - I wish my place had that!
Ricci showed me the location of my mailbox, parking spot, and storage unit. We walked around the complex where he described each of the amenities. When I came to the office with questions, he promptly answered them all. He also was helpful in coordinating the installation of my internet service. The facilities have met my expectations. I visited friends who live at this complex and was incredibly impressed with the amenities (mailroom and lobby were clean). Their unit was very beautiful with nice appliances. I was also impressed with how community oriented The Payton is with community events.
This is the best apartment building in Portland!! The units are gorgeous all the way down to the appliances, including a fabulous Mountain View if you plan strategically. A one bedroom was plenty of space for a couple and was surprisingly affordable when compared to nearby apartments, especially for its outstanding quality.
