my bartender kept ignoring me so i asked her what was taking so long, to which, she replied: "you need to watch your mouth." i asked the bouncer to summon the manager and he refused to do so and gave me a hard time about it. never coming back.

GREAT PLACE – I go because I like the staff, the drinks are cheap ($5.00 for a Ketel One) and I was a VI regular.

Place is losing its touch – I've been going here for about 5 years and I've always had a good time. They appear to be cleaning house with the bartenders getting rid of some of the people that have been there a while. If they expect the people who are loyal patrons and loyal to certain bartenders to continue to frequent the bar, you can't just clean house on the staff. To all my sisters out there keepin it country... – I really try to keep it classy in the big city, but every now and then a gal like me needs somewhere to let loose and allow her true po-dunk self to come through. That is what dive bars are for, and The Patriot is quite possibly the only true one of the genre that you'll find in NYC. One of new yorks best dive bar – You get the best of both worlds during the day a decent but cheap to have a cold beer and chat the day away. The night brings the wild side out.. I've seen and heard that, if you are a true male you will enjoy the fun. The wild girls come out to play. The bathrooms are not the best but you won't be in there that long. And can't forget about the bartenders. They sweet talk you anf flirt the the day or night away while getting you buzzing away. A plus for this area of the city.

you get what you pay for!! – cheap drinks and white trash crowd- drunks, sleazy men, fat disgusting bar owner, half the girls working there are on d rugs or so s lutty they might as well be strippers. I am all for a great dive bar and country bar- but does that mean all etiquette and standards should go out the window? why not just move to a trailer park?

Great dive bar – What a dive bar should be. I have no idea how a genuinely fun place like the Patriot is able to survive in the heart of yuppified, soulless Tribeca but I sure am glad it does. The whole staff is accomodating - the bartenders are all very charming and engaging and even the bouncers are friendlier than most. The two-level bar usually isn't too packed as I've been going there for a good while now and have rarely had trouble getting a drink. What a place! – The crowd is not too bad before late hours, the company varied, but not insane, and the female bartenders-- WOW! If you are a male with a low libido, these attentive darlings will have your bp going high! Cheap booze, cheap eats, scuzzy decor, dark, low lighting, and where you been in a bar lately where women of all types raise their blouses and bare their breasts in total abandon. Huzzah!
