Thank you to Dr. Lindsey Croom.. She made my Jake’s passing as peaceful and beautiful as I hoped and with that we are eternally grateful. I could just hug her to pieces. I cannot say enough about how grateful I am for the care and compassion Lindsay Croom provided during one of the hardest moments of my life. My dog, Shug, was 11 years old and had a splenic mass, most likely hemangiosarcoma. Dr. Croom felt less like a veterinarian and more like a family friend who came to help our poor Sheltie, Cookie, into the afterlife. She provided the service in our home, which made an incredibly painful moment feel calm, personal, and respectful. There was no rush and no cold, clinical feeling — just genuine empathy and care for both Cookie and our family. Dr. Lindsay is as good with the 2-leggeds as she is with the 4-leggeds! She went out of her way to be available. My dog knew she was there to help and she provided such sensitive comfort to me as I said good-bye to my 15-year old Chihuahua, Frito. I plan to encourage anyone I know who is facing this heart-wrenching decision to call her. Thank-you from the bottom of my heart!
