Never experienced racism in my life — until today. As a Hispanic woman, I was made to feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and disrespected at this salon. This was my second visit, as the initial service didn’t go well. The first time, my hair color came out too orange, likely because I wasn’t given enough time with the bleach. I am so obsessed with them as a hijabi. It’s really hard to find a great hairdresser who can also respect my need for a private/all female. They do not have separate closed off rooms however, they go out of their way in order to make sure that there are no male clients during the time that I am there. They also do not have any mail hairdressers so that isn’t an issue.
