My mum was cared for by palliative care team on the ward as she had very complex medical needs. Her symptoms were addressed really quickly and her comfort maintained throughout. We believe your intervention gave mum and us extra time together. Mum’s physical, emotional and practical needs were prioritized and enabled mum to be discharged home where she was cared for by family, social care, DNs and community palliative care nurses.
