They are trying to unjustly keep the security deposit. Edit: Respond to my email then, I left the apartment exactly as the lease and the Tenant Act had stipulated. Even if you had a valid case, in no world does it cost $800 to clean such a small apartment.
No matter what you read here DO NOT LIVE THERE, I cannot stress it enough. Units are not winter friendly, you will spend it under 2 blankets with ice all over the windows inside the apartments. Draft coming through the hatch will blow your head off. I am not exaggerating. I know few units have had their windows replaced but I suspect only because Alberta Health Services got actively involved. Slowest elevators in the city and the worst parking of any building downtown. Edit: I see they have responded to my review. To add: - unlike other buildings, there is no underground parking. When I moved in I was told it would take 3 months for a parking spot but it took 5 months instead. I had to park 3 blocks away during those 5 months. WORST EXPERIENCE I recently booked appointment to view 1 bedroom apartment and spoke with property manager who sounded slightly rude but I ignore that and went and saw the place anyway. I viewed both their buildings - the tower and the palisades. I liked the 1 bedroom at the palisades but honestly their entrance was so smelly and one of the elevators was so slow and had a shoe mark as if somebody had kicked it several times, but because of their rent and the fact that utilities were included I decided to go ahead and filled ... read more
I do not recommend living in this building. After boardwalk left, the safety of the tenants are no longer a thing. Parking spots weren’t maintained during winter season. If you ever pay a parking spot, DONT. They dont even have a private tower to call when some randoms park on your spot. The building isn’t well maintained as it used to be. The price of rent do even reflect the service you’re getting. AGAIN, IF YOU NEED A PLACE LOOK ELSEWHERE. Will leave a one star but then can erase it as bot so leaving two instead.
