I have been through the doors of AA many times for many years, but I have never been to a rehabilitation community. At the Owl's Nest, the staff and the residents all show you love and understanding. These are people that have been where you are now and can show you and give you the tools that you need to find your way out. I owe my life to the Owl's Nest recovery community without the help and support of this family I would not be here today.
I have been in recovery for over three years and never seemed to get it right.. With periods of sobriety I realized I was white knuckling it every time I thought I was doing good...Since my time at the Owls Nest I was educated about my disease and what I need to do on a daily basis to stay stopped and live a happy life.. Every single person at the Nest played a role in making me feel complete and like life is amazing if you do the work and stay on top of recovery!!! Prior to coming to the nest, my life wasn't going anywhere good. I went in to the short term program and it absolutely changed my life. I was given the tools to stay sober and to grow in my sobriety. Today, I consider myself to be an honest person who works to better his self on a daily basis. I don't know where I would be without the Owls nest.
I owe the owls nest more than I can ever repay. I am an addict of the most hopeless variety! They finally taught me the truth about my addiction. Why I could never seem to stop before. Through my higher power, the 12 steps, and the staff and people at this facility I am now living a life not only free from the burdens of drugs and alcohol but free from the bondage of myself!! It works. It really does!!
The Owls Nest is by far the best rehab I have been to. The residents and staff welcomed me immediately with open arms. I knew this was the place i was going to be free from addiction as soon as I did the phone interview. I have been going to Alcoholics Anonymous since 2008, and have been a regular attending member since 2010. If i had only known that the Big Book had a solution for my addiction I would have stayed sober when i originally attended. There is a solution to addiction and The Owls Nest helped me find it.
