Will drive for pancakes I only treat myself to pancakes a few times a year but when I do this is the place I head to- the food is EXCELLENT. Be prepared to wait in line if you go there on a weekend morning- but they seat you quickly and the service and food are wonderful.
call ahead and be prepared to wait Original Pancake house is a very popular breakfast/brunch place in uptown. They have tons of different breakfast/brunch options-everyone will be able to find something that they like. Portions are reasonable, some breakfasts (eggs) are bigger than others. I've never had a bad meal there...just a long wait before a great meal.
Yummm, pancakes! Great pancakes, all different varieties! You'd have to visit this place for years to try all the delicious things on the menu.

A Great Throw-back to the 50's Not a large enough dining room, so you may have to wait a bit to get in, but a great slice of Portland's history. Charming atmosphere and amazing menu selection.

Best Pancakes Its a little expensive but its well worth it. There pancakes are out of this world. The people are nice and the service is great. I love their food. My family and I go almost every other Sunday after church!
Good breakfast Great gathering place for a nice hearty old fashioned breakfast. Huge portions, friendly service, reasonable prices. Great way to start the weekend with the family.
Wow. I can't believe it's taken me so long to discover the Original Pancake House. They have an unbelievable selection of pancakes as well as other items on the menu. Their pancakes are delicious and what else very "original." I had the dutch apple pancake which is like eating apple pie. Always busy, but well worth the wait.
