Scenic vistas, live music, great apples and great foods. Trees aren't really pruned and the Apple pickers may be a little harder to find on the busier weekends. Tractor tour is 5 dollars a person. My kids and I made an afternoon out of our visit and then went on a hike to Crabtree Falls. All in all, a great place and a great day.
This orchard is beautiful! The backdrop of mountains while picking apples is amazing. There is also a store that had live music, free fudge tasting (which was some of the best I've ever eaten), and lots of other local type odds & ends. The terrain was a bit rough and the grass was a bit overgrown but my family had a wonderful visit.
Loved all of the fudge (free samples of everything they sell) loved the live music and the storytelling on the hayride. And of course the apples are amazing.
This was a great unexpected stop along the parkway. We saw the ice cream sign from the road. We were so excited to find this spot complete with yummy treats, friendly staff, and filled with rich history of the area.
Great place to stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Apples, apple butter, fudge, scenic views, and live mountain music on weekends. I've been coming here since at least 2001.
