You cannot get in with an actual doctor, you have to see the nurse practitioner. She uses the words “I don’t know” and “can’t” too much, it makes me feel like she is incompetent and doesn’t know what she is doing. The office lady is nice, but the knowledge of the nurse practitioner makes me not want to go back. When you are dealing with a medical issue you want the best care team and I feel like the nurse practitioner should be kicked off that team or do continuing education classes.
My appointment was scheduled two weeks in advance. When I arrived, I was told that my insurance needed to be verified. However, the office had all of my insurance documents and the necessary information before my appointment, yet they did not verify my insurance in advance. I spent my time driving to the office, completing all the required paperwork, and waiting, only to be told that my appointment had to be rescheduled. The front desk receptionist was the only positive part of my experience. She was kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff did not reflect that same level of care. The two women who took my blood pressure and drew my blood were unfriendly and made me feel very uncomfortable, as if I were an inconvenience rather than a patient.
