great for the family – It's not easy to please a family with three young children. We took our kids (age 1, 5, & 6) here as a special dinner out. The food is perfect for a family dinner, and the service was fantastic. The kids' menu was full of choices & bread was served quickly & cheerfully to keep everyone patient. Every meal includes salad/soup & dessert, for around $10 for the adult plates & a generous kids' meal at $5. The proof of good service is when something doesn't go as planned. When my 5 year-old didn't love his ... read more
Beautiful building, okay food. – I've been going here, as well, since I was young. The building has always intrigued me and I love it. So fun to sit on the waterfront. The food is mediocre, though. It truly does taste like something out of a can as somebody else mentioned...not fresh at all...but personally, I think tha'ts okay and it's delicious. It's reasonably priced...you get salad/soup, a meal, and dessert all inclusive for about $10. We typically have HUGE parties and don't make reservations (I only learned last night ... read more
So-so italian food – I have been to the Spaghetti factory quite a few times, and it is not that impressive. It's average food, and for some reason, it is always packed!! The food is mediocre yet the line is always out the door. If you go to the spaghetti factory for lunch, they do have an awesome soup and salad combo, and it's all you can eat. The service however, is slow, so if you only have an hour for lunch, you might want to consider ordering your food to go. The food is not terrible, but if you're looking for great-tast... read more
Get It To Go! – After years of working in downtown San Jose I have seen many eateries come and go but OSF seems to be the staple there. The atmosphere is incredible when you walk in. Huge framed pictures on the wall, what San Pedro Square used to look like, and beautiful antique furniture in a variety of warm colors. I used to try to eat here on my lunch hour but the service was always slow and not very friendly. I wised up and started ordering it to go. They have parking for to go orders in the back which makes it super con... read more
Terrible – If I could give this no stars i would! The service was terrible! Me and my fiancé went there today and just left cause it was so bad. Maybe it was all my tattoos and her piercings but that's no reason to treat us so terribly and put us at a small table and look at us like we were hoodlums! We had every intention to give them a a big tip and everything since it was her birthday but they got nothing!
Good food, great price – Great family enviroment! great value, you get your meal, salad, bread, drink, and spumoni ice cream, and the avg price is around $10 person, kids meals are only $5, same as a happy meal. be prepared for a wait on the weekends, but its worth it. been there 40 years for a reason.
Great food affordable prices – They have good spaghetti at affordable pricing. I love coming to the Spaghetti factory the meals always come with a free ice cream at the end of the meal and always come with there awsome bread. Last year i went here and they had a plate of spaghetti for like $4 That was just a special that they did for like one month i think though. If you ever go out of town and don't know where to eat you can never go wrong with spaghetti factory I have been to alot of there other locations in like three oth... read more
good food. bad service – never go with more than maybe 6 people. ive been there twice. once with a party of 13 and another with a party of 17. the waiter completely messed up the orders and ended up charging a couple for a dinner that someone else ate cause her's never came out. but then after we made a huge fuss over it and he went to get the manager, he took it off the bill. why he didnt do that in the first place, i dont know. it seriously takes them FOREVER to come back to your table. after drinks it takes about 20 mins ... read more
Food's better than some say – It's in the rapidly improving and eclectic midtown district, with lots of other restaurants, coffee shops, bars and art galleries nearby. A drug rehab program facility a block away is a good neighbor and causes no problems. It's a real urban city, now, so get over it! Spaghetti with mizithra cheese and meat sauce ("Manager's Favorite") is good! The best place for kids and family in Sacramento. They'll love it when a train rumbles past -- about 60 feet from the windows.
