Lovely staff at the front desk, helpful and accommodating. Lovely location right across from the beautiful Davis bay beach and pier. Restaurants like joe, wobbly canoe, and gourmet girl all within 1-3 min walking distance and all offer a variety of delicious options.
UPDATE (April 2025): We just returned with our cat, Leo, from a two night stay at Oceanside. The same welcoming team working there, very clean and updated rooms with a comfortable bed and lovely washroom. Since our last visit, there have been even more improvements, such as new sliding doors and screens. This is a place that cares and reinvests in its property. Did not get the chance to stay at the hotel due to major ferry backlog and police advising not to travel. Host (Muiz) was more than happy to refund the cost due to the circumstances. Pleasant to deal with. Will definitely be booking in the future but likely not on a long weekend.
Outstanding Ocean view, friendly staff (Jeff at the reception is awesome!) comfortable rooms with great modern bathroom. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, quality food and great service.
