cigar friendly in san francisco ! It's a little clubby looking bar right downtown across from the bank of america building. It's usually full of lawyers and bankers and such. You can smoke inside because the bartenders own the place. They've got a ton of all the things that go well with a cigar,(single malts, rums, ports, cognacs, bourbons) and a good selection of cigars as well. They close somewhere between 12 and 2am. A great spot for real cigar smokers. PROS: lots of scotch, bourbon, rum, cognacs etc. CONS: it's small and... read more
A cigar club you can actually smoke at California law prohibits smoking in an establishment where the workers don't have any share in the business. That way, they can't be forced to be subjected to second hand smoke just for their job. Unfortunately, this applies to cigar clubs too. There's a handful of cigar clubs in the city that you can actually smoke in, and this is one of them. It's a very good club, nice decor and ambiance, and right in the heart of downtown. Recommended.
Where You Can Enjoy a Cigar Without Fear of Public Stoning – Need a lawyer? You'll probably find one here. What about a wine broker? Yep. Probably here too. Maybe you just need a nice cigar, a decent glass red wine...or a delicious pig trough sized martini. You got it! Sarcasm to round off your day, from a treasured prickly bartender? No problem. How do they get around the smoking ban, you ask? Every bartender is part-owner, which means no one working is an "employee" at risk for developing what we all know comes hand in han... read more

The place if you want to smoke and drink – Great vibe at this Financial District bar that is a (cigar) smokers dream. The clientel is very cool, not in a hipster way but more of a worldly, "I know whats up" manner. There are a good number of regulars that you can find shooting the sh!t, playing liar's dice or watching sports. Everyone is super friendly so its very comfortable if you're along or with a group. They have a good selection of cigars and cigs at the usual non-tabacco shop prices - I drop by Grant's on Market to ge... read more
An old-school Financial District watering hole where smoking is encouraged. – In Short With its gold-plated ceilings, wrought-wood bar and forest-green walls, this diminutive spot is reminiscent of a 19th-century locale once haunted by stuffy bankers. Top-shelf scotches and brandies are the bar's specialty, but its allure lies in the hazy atmosphere. Nicotine lovers flock here to revel in the freedom of drinking, smoking and socializing at their leisure.
A lovely, smoky little bar... – I absolutely love this bar. I may be the only person in their 20's hanging out here, and the only woman there, but I've gone alone a few times. I know...strange, but I don't really know anyone else who enjoys smoking a cigar and sipping on a martini. Anyway, every time I have gone I have enjoyed myself.
