Proudly named after a historic figure from the island's historic revolutionary war, The Obstinate Daughter presents diners with a carefully crafted menu that draws inspiration from the age-old culinary traditions of Southern cuisine. The nautical-themed decor is simplistic yet endearing, bringing together the raw charm of reclaimed wood and a wide range of contemporary elements. The Seafood Fra Diavolo, Frogmore Chowder, Griddled Octopus, and the Seared Red Snapper comprise the specialties.

Best meal we’ve had in Charleston! Just wonderful.
Great food and a great atmosphere and great waitress
We had a large party. Had excellent service. The fresh grouper with risotto was divine. The only miss were the two pizzas, one chicken and one with clams, both VERY scarcely topped. The blueberry crisp dessert was delicious. We would return for the soup!
Had heard the buzz about this place and finally decided to try it - glad we did! It's a bit of a drive from where we live in S'ville but so worth the drive. The menu was amazing - there were several things I wanted to try but ended up with the Parpardelle dish. Very tasty - will definitely be back!
Great food, great service and a great place to meet new people and learn some information on the area!
A real chef, who creates food art.
The pizza was amazing. Be prepared for a wait even for a bar seat but it was well worth it
Great place to grab lunch while touring the island.
We went here for my birthday and everything was awesome. Danielle, our server, was very helpful and friendly and the service was great. There are plenty of options on the menu but not to many choices. We had the lobster and shrimp fettuccine and the short rib gnocchi. Both were spectacular but I have to say the short rib was #1. We had a bottle of wine with our dinner and delicious dessert to follow. Black Forest cake and dark chocolate gelato. All of it was a treat for my birthday and we will definitely be back. *****
