Nitty Gritty is a great local shop that caters to those obsessed with anything vintage, retro or kitschy. This Germantown boutique has fashions from the 1920's all the way to the 1980's. The shop sells other housewares and accessories as well, where you'll find bags, hats, clocks, watches, cameras and almost everything else that has some retro charm to it. Additionally, its a great place to go when you need to find something on Halloween or to add that vintage piece to sharpen your style.

I love this place! Always something cool there! Go back in time when clothes were quality made and lasted longer than 3 washes!

Simply my favorite shop in Louisville! From the first time I discovered it (2004 or 5?), I have never since missed stopping in whenever I am in town. Terri (owner) and Amie are so welcoming and friendly. I have never had a bad experience and my southern Indiana home is now full of the coolest finds from the Nitty Gritty!

I love this shop! Very cool high quality vintage costumes. Top notch customer service, and a great local vibe. I go to a lot of beard competitions, and I like to rent various costumes from the Nitty Gritty to get awesome unique looks when I compete.
