Used to be nice hotel on a downward trend. Stayed here at least once a year over the last four years and every year it gets a little bit worse. This time was probably my last time. First, the positives: Location is great, right next to Madison Square Park. Interior design of the rooms is nice (typical Edition hotel style) Now, the negatives: The rooms are small and not well maintained. You tell me if $1,200 a night for a <300sqft room that doesn’t even have a coffee machine is something worth a five star rating. Hotel is quite dated. Fantastic location obviously. Elevators are in pretty bad shape. Cleanliness could be improved.
Wow that’s awesome experience there
Edit: the elevators work again :) I practically live in the edition - love the staff and the rooms but the elevators will be the end of this hotel if they don’t fix them. It takes 10-12 mins for the elevators to appear on any floor or the lobby.
There is a bar downstairs that has some incredible bartenders. One in particular, Ish, is a master and he is working on some really delicious and refreshing cocktails. We had a great room on the 28th floor with great views.
