The food is good, and that’s what this place has going for it. We came up and stayed in Blowing Rock. Came here the first night, was told a 45 minute wait. We were eventually seated, and then… nothing. No server came to us. We waited a good long time until a sweet server asked if we had been helped. We said no, she goes “then I’ll take you!” The service was impeccable after that, and ONLY due to this one waitress. We didn't lodge here, but ate at the restaurant, which was fantastic. Pleasant, expeditious service and delicious food. We also had drinks which tasted great and the bartender doesn't skimp on the alcohol, which is nice. We were here on vacation and our waitress gave us great advice on where to go - not just the tourist spots but places locals like to go too, which is always appreciated. One of the worst experiences at a restaurant in recent memory. We had a reservation at 5:30pm. When we sat down we ordered drinks and six buffalo wings as an appetizer. Two of the wings were so small my sons asked if they used baby chickens. The hot buffalo wings were delivered and our server left. We had no silverware or napkins for a messy appetizer. Great burger and beer mac and cheese!
We stopped in for breakfast yesterday...11/4/2025. The ambience was nice but the breakfast was sub-par and over priced. The hash browns were frozen rectangles and the biscuits as well as the bacon was were overcooked and hard. Once we sat down no one came back around to check on us. I wouldn't recommend this place for breakfast.
