Got to start out by saying that I am really surprised at how bad the service is I got from the Carlsbad tester Roxanne. -- Three messages left with a very simple request to give me the names of a few of the tests I took. Zero response over several weeks. There ended up being no excuses for her absence of responding. Wow. Next, there is Dr. Alasantro.who at first was fine.... I think there are doctors and other med professionals here who are good, and some staff who are very helpful and on top of things. However, i would not call this a patient-centered organization. Have had numerous frustrating experiences like authorizations not getting done for months, getting the runaround, paperwork snafus, ongoing difficulty refilling routine prescriptions, etc. Trying to get through on the phone is often impossible. Absolutely the worst ran office in San Diego! Was hospitalized, told to make an urgent consult w/my neurologist. Admin & office manager, Evie told me 2 months. Reporting to State of Calif Medical Board & Joint Commission!
I have heard that they are great and they have been recommended to me. I called twice practically begging for an appt. but was told that new patients not until July. Their information page says that the post rest phase is critical, which for me is coming up. I told them that. I even let them know that my child's neurologist (he was in the same accident as me) recommended that I see them after she saw him. I get busy, but how can I follow their advice without an appt. Very experienced staff with great knowledge of neuroscience.
This place is trash. My wife was scheduled for a Saturday, 9:15am appointment to have her ambulatory EEG machine removed at the Escondido office and nobody is here. There’s another couple who has been here for an hour for an 8am appointment. The office is closed and completely dark inside.
Because they literally handed me my spinal tap fluid and told me to get it processed at Palomar (that doesn't take samples they didn't draw) and another place that didn't take my insurance, my check for Multiple Sclerosis came back negative, and my neurologist there based his decisions off that false negative, and the result is now I'm dealing with Social Security saying that for 2 years since I filed for SSDI I wasn't sick and "could have worked" because of their screwed up records! They were friendly and the dr that helped me did better than all the other drs I've seen so far. he was very knowledgeable and sympathetic to what I needed
