interesting museum and really nice employees
I visited the National Opal Collection in Sydney during my trip to Australia and it was one of the most interesting places I visited. The opal museum explains very well the history of Australian opal and the mining in Lightning Ridge. The jewellery showroom is beautiful and I saw some incredible black opals and opal jewellery. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable and explained everything very clearly. If you are in Sydney and want to learn about Australian opal, this place is definitely worth visiting.

Located on George Street in the Sydney CBD, the opal museum is very informative and the showroom has beautiful Lightning Ridge black opals, white opals and boulder opals. The staff are very knowledgeable and explain everything about opals and where they come from.
