Thao is simply the best! I go often for pedicures and I always have great service (Sue is my favorite technician). And they always seem to be able to fit me in based on my schedule. I wanted to give Thao a shout out for sponsoring "Pins for a Cure" benefitting Maine Cancer Foundation hosted by Portside Real Estate Group and held at Garden Street Bowl. Really wanted to love it! Really cute place. The pedicure was less than desirable. The water was VERY hot upon putting my feet in and had to mention that multiple times. Got the deluxe pedicure for $65 which included some type of wax treatment. The wax was also VERY hot to the point of being very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, there was no way to pull back as they put your feet into the bag of hot wax. Noticed bubbles all in the polish while waiting for it to dry. I’ve visited twice and left unhappy both times. On my first visit many years ago, I was told to 'never tip on a card again,' and they now have signs for cash or Venmo tips only, which is very inconvenient if you don't know or don't have either. My most recent experience was even more unprofessional. I loved my experience at this store!! My artist was very detailed and made sure every now and then that I was ok with how it looked.
