I saw a lot of good reviews so we booked a room from March 28th to March 31st 2025. The first night the room looked pretty clean but I was a little concerned about the window coverings since we were on the ground floor. They had only shades at the windows without so much as a sheer to sort of block people from seeing directly in the rooms. Nice room, calm location, polite and friendly staff. But also noise coming from the laundry room, just opposite of my room, keeping me awake way past midnight. First with open door all evening, making it impossible to relax in the room, then when I asked for the door to be closed, the noise from the door constantly opening and closing.
Checking was at 3:30. When i got to my room at 4pm there was no beeding on the bed. Went and let the front desk know. The. Went back to my room to get dressed for the night and a housekeeping attend came in and said I wasn't suspose to be in the room because the guest before me had been smoking pot in the room and they had put some kind of electric box in the room and I wasn't suspose to be in the room with that device on and I would most likely get a really bad headache from it. Arrived for 3:30 check in for a Mardi Gras ball at 6. Checked in and opened the door to a dirty room. Was told housekeeping would get to it next. Over an hour later was finally able to go to our room. Another friend arrived at 4 to check in went to her room had no bedding and a machine on the floor because someone had smoked in the room. Started getting ready in her bathroom and was kicked out and told could not be in there with the machine going. At least 1 out of the 3 friends had a usable room for us to get ready in.
