They have fraudulently billed me on more than one occasion. The billing department refuses to take any responsibility, will not help in any capacity to rectify the mess that THEY made, and will flat out LIE about communications that they've had with you. Avoid Naomi at all costs, she is the one who will make stuff up on the phone (even with other witnesses, like my insurance company who also recognised on the line that there was actually NO record of the communications she claimed existed). Just got off the phone with Jahvon who settled my issue completely in less than 10 minutes. (This unfortunately was after 45 minutes of multiple transfers). Jahvon was so professional and thorough in investigating my account. Can’t say enough about his customer service. Mt Sinai needs more like him. Thank you
the billing office should be transparent and upfront when billing customers and not surprising people then afterwards be dismissive.
BEWARE! You most ask first if you will be charged an office visit or hospital visit the next time you go to a Mount Sinai facility.
Unethical and illegal billing practices. They refuse to bill my insurance for a visit that would indeed be covered, fraudulently charged me $125 and advised it would be reimbursed once my insurance settled claim. The visit was on July 22nd, 2024 now its June 6th 2025 and still no resolution. Carmen is the worst changing the story numerous times via mychart to avoid taking ownership that mount sinai allowed a doctor to work who didnt have proper authorization in their system/insurance to be billed for patients!!
