This place was hell in earth for my dear father who was admitted for “rehab” following minor surgery. The Flinders Ward is terrifying…. security guards, keycodes and confused patients wandering aimlessly. This is a geriatric dementia ward (my father did not have dementia). He had to share a cramped and dark room with a woman. The inept and uncaring medical team missed infection after infection. It offers a wide range of important services including physical therapy, pain management, rehabilitation, inpatient care, and much more. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful centre in Mornington, providing accessible, high-quality healthcare and support to so many people within our local community.
Great helpful and professional staff even though they are completely understaffed and over worked...
I've been weekly visiting a friend recovering from a bad fall. The staff are generally very attentive & helpful; & competent. Trainees from Monash nursing, with all the latest skills, do ward rounds. My friend initially required use of a sophisticated lifting device, which assists in saving the backs of staff: indicative of the care provided. The physio & occupational therapists have a range of tools, & knowledge to assist patients.
