The Moorings Lakehouse was an incredible venue for my wedding, we stayed 3 nights here. A big thank you to the entire team- you are all amazing! The team went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was truly special! This was the perfect venue, it allowed all of our guests to stay onsite in the stunning accommodation. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding!
The location of the Moorings Lakehouse is beautiful and the idea of the place as advertised, is perfect. Unfortunately, it feels as if the Barn and its surroundings have potential, but are currently VERY run down and lacking love and attention. The fruit and vegetable patches look like they’ve not been attended to for months. It was obvious immediately. The place was absolutely lovely, and waking up to the lake view every morning felt like a dream! My dog loved it too and even made a few friends with other dogs on the property, which was such a joy to watch. There’s plenty to do on-site, which kept us happily engaged — from lighting a bonfire two nights in a row to stargazing under the clear skies, it was truly memorable.
I booked this place for a quiet family getaway with my parents and sister, as we don’t live in the area and wanted somewhere special to reconnect and relax. This property honestly exceeded all of our expectations. The setting is stunning – beautiful gardens, veggie patches and orchards to wander through, and we absolutely loved hearing the chickens in the morning. We had such a wonderful stay at the moorings lakehouse villa! The accommodation is pristine with beautiful furnishings and an outside deck where you can soak in the tub while looking at the stars and out over the lake! Such a serene and relaxing place with lots of beautiful beaches and treks in the local area. Highly recommend!
