Very nice hotel My husband and I spent a long weekend in Monterey recently and we stayed at the Monterey Hotel. We were very surprised at check-in to find out that our room had been upgraded to a fireplace suite. The room was gorgeous! The staff was very polite and helpful and made sure that everything was taken care of. The only downfall was that the hotel is an historic building and doesn't have an elevator.
