Gets cold end of season bring appropriate clothing. The entire draw is exploring the island and getting outside away from the hotels etc. Amazing scenery. No ticks or concerns with bugs on my trip though did manage some great photos of spider webs. Bring a camera and binoculars. Plan on hiking the trails.
The Monhegan House was one of the best stays of our trip around Maine. The property was beautiful and clean, the food was incredible, and the service and friendliness of everyone made a huge impression. I broke my ankle while on the island and everyone went out of their way to help me while we tried to manage leaving. They helped with accessibility and were constantly attentive with a unique situation. We'll absolutely be returning for our next trip to the area.
Beautiful and hospitable. We came here for my birthday getaway and it was perfect. When the staff found out they served me some incredible cake. Everyone was so happy and welcoming. The room was nice and clean and exactly what you need for a stay on Monhegan. The only bad part of the trip was leaving.
What a lovely, welcoming place. The rooms are cozy, with soft, comfy bedding; the food is amazing: breakfasts and dinners are creative and delicious! Early coffee time is very welcome, with scones and GF cake.. Five stars aren’t enough!!! We will be back! Thanks so much!!
Monhegan House is base camp for all things Monhegan. You want to hike? MoHo. Five star dinner? MoHo. Just hang out on the porch? MoHo. Multivariable Calculus? Okay, maybe not MoHo. But, I bet someone at MoHo knows. Come. Enjoy.
