Management doesn't respond. I live in these apartmentments. The alarms go off past midnight!
Felt very unsafe living here. Reported many incidences to management with no response back. Walls are thin I could hear my neighbors TV everynight. The fire alarms just go off at random hours. Shower overflowed in the winter when the pipes froze. Bus garage is next door and very noisy. Literally could never get a good night sleep at this place. No guest parking for more than 2 hours impossible to invite anyone over.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after living here for the past 11 months, I genuinely feel obligated to share my experience so others can make an informed decision before signing a lease. While the apartments themselves are modern, updated, and visually beautiful, this has unfortunately been one of the worst living experiences I've had. The biggest issue has been the fire alarms. I've been living at The Modern for over 2.5 years, and it has been a great experience. The building is always clean, quiet, and well maintained, making it a comfortable place to live. The apartments are spacious and well designed, with plenty of room for everyday living. One of the things I appreciate most is the management. I've had a very positive experience at The Modern. The building has a luxury feel, is always kept clean, and feels very safe. The rooftop is a great bonus, especially with the beautiful views of the NYC skyline. The management team is easy to reach,Overall, it's a great place to live and I would definitely recommend it.
