Honest and open I'd been to two other garages to diagnose a knocking noise on our R55. First garage couldn't find it, second garage wanted to fit a steering rack at great expense. Dropped it off at TMS and they immediately found the issue... loose ball joint. Sorted it and even showed me a video of the issue. They didn't want a penny for it either Will use again 100%
It's been over 2 months now since I took my BMW car to the Mini and BMW specialist and I am more than delighted with the service given. Hugh is very knowledgeable when it comes to Minis, he explained all the work step by step so it was simple to understand what I was actually paying for. He even took me into the workshop to show what was going to be done. It’s been 5 weeks since my repair and all issues are resolved. Initially diagnosed with leaking thermostat and oil filter housing. Chose The Mini Specialist after calling round several “mini specialists” to arrange your have my oil filter housing gaskets fixed, Hugh was the only guy who was immediately able to tell me what the process was and how long it would take, he was so confidence inspiring that i asked him to do my timing chain while it was there. I had a new transfer case fitted to the cost of 3k recently which was a bit of a hit to the wallet. Not all went to plan but after two weeks I eventually got the car back. Since then I took it for a full four wheel alignment and inspection. Issues found: CV boot torn leaking grease. Bottom ball joint rubber boot split.
