We stayed at the Met in November of 2013. We were put in a wing that had no heat. The room had no heat on for days it felt like. We blasted the heat all night and all that was coming out was warm cold air. It was horrible. I slept in my clothes and in my winter coat. Sleeping in the car would have been more preferable. We complained the next day and they put us in a room that had the heat blasting so high that it dried out our eyes but it was much better. Nastiest hotel I have ever been to. BED BUGS and BLACK MOLD. Very poor service. And the place was just dirty. Disgusted. Was there 10 minutes and fleed with our money. Found out later that their crook of a boss still charged us 75$(!!!!!) because we left with the bed not completely made, due to us tearing the bed apart to find blood stains and living BED BUGS. Never go here.
We stayed for valentines weekend. The room was clean, other than some permanent stains on the rug. ( basically the rug would have needed to be replaced); it is an older hotel so the decor is older looking that floral pattern you see in older hotels. We were on the first floor. Indoor Pool looked nice did not go swimming on this trip. Had a fitness center with a few machines. Front desk was always available. Used to work there, I was with it until it closed. It wasn't great, had potential but it was wasted. Loved hearing stories about what it used to be. Goodbye old friend, I know you well
